From: BCR-ABL1-independent PI3Kinase activation causing imatinib-resistance
PI3Kα is important for cell growth of Ph+ cell lines. [3H]-thymidine incorporation after 24 h incubation with inhibitors for PI3Kα, PI3Kβ and PI3Kγ in cell line SUP-B15. Experiments with cell lines NALM-1 (resistant) and BV-173 (sensitive) yielded similar results, confirming the importance of PI3Kα for growth of Ph+ cell lines.
