Methods for the identification of synthetic lethal interactions. The potential synthetic lethal interaction data are derived from model organisms (data from BioGRID or TheCellMap), direct screening methods (yeast, drugs, RNA interference, and CRISPR technology), and computational analysis (bioinformatics screen). The discovered synthetic lethal candidate was validated with human cell line panels to determine if the synthetic lethal interaction is limited to specific cell lines or preserved across cell lines
