Patients whose leukemic cells grew aggressively (newly diagnosed or relapsed, n = 23) had a poor clinical outcome. Patients whose leukemic blasts displayed either no tumor growth or an indolent growth pattern at newly diagnosis (n = 25) had a favorable clinical outcome. Patients whose leukemic blasts displayed no tumor growth or an indolent pattern at relapse (n = 18) also had a relatively favorable clinical outcome.Back to article page
